1. Authenticate the sending domain
Use SPF, DKIM and DMARC correctly for the sending setup. Authentication is necessary, but it does not make unwanted email wanted.
2. Suppress hard bounces
Stop sending to addresses that permanently reject mail. Repeated attempts to known bad addresses create unnecessary risk.
3. Respect complaints and unsubscribes
Remove or suppress recipients promptly. Do not re-import an unsubscribed address into a marketing segment later.
4. Watch list sources
Know how each address entered the list. Permission quality is more valuable than raw database size.
5. Increase volume gradually
When a new sending setup begins, scale with real engagement and healthy metrics rather than jumping immediately to maximum volume.
